Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Narayanananda Vishwayoga Ashram will be organising Bhagavad Gita recitation and drawing competitions for school children on Dec. 7 from 9 am at the Ashram premises in Hinkal.

Bhagavad Gita recitation competition will be held in six categories for both boys and girls as follows:

LKG & UKG: 1st Chapter – 7 to 11 shlokas; 1st & 2nd std.: 3rd Chapter – 9 to 13 shlokas; 3rd & 4th std.: 4th Chapter – 1 to 5 shlokas; 5th & 6th std.: 5th Chapter – 11 to 15 shlokas; 7th & 8th std.: 6th Chapter – 11 to 20 shlokas; 9th & 10th std.: 12th Chapter – 1 to 10 shlokas.

Drawing competition will be held in the following categories and topics:

LKG, UKG, 1st and 2nd std.: Drawing of their wish; 3rd & 4th std.: Animals and Birds; 5th & 6th std.: Animals and Birds in Nature; 7th & 8th std.: Historical Places in Karnataka; 9th & 10th std.: From Cleanliness to Yoga.

Participants will be provided only with drawing sheets and other drawing materials should be brought by themselves.
