Mysuru: B.B. Vishal Uthappa and Hansika Rakesh, students of Pragathi Elite Public School in Mysuru, have secured the gold medal in the Under-15 mixed doubles category at the Anant Bajaj Memorial Telangana Open Badminton Tournament held at Pullela Gopichand National Badminton Academy in Hyderabad recently.

Vishal and Hansika triumphed in a hard-fought final against S. Krishna and Shruti Yechina by winning 8-15, 15-8, 15-13.

Currently Vishal and Hansika are attending a 20-day training camp at the Gopichand Academy as part of its Grassroot Development Programme along with Coach Arun Pemmaiah of Sports Park, Mysuru.
