‘Kumaravyasa Bharata’ Kavya Vachana at Ganabharathi

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised Kannada Kavya Vachana of ‘Kumaravyasa Bharata – Viraata Parva’ to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava at its Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar tomorrow (Nov. 28) at 6 pm.

Vidu. Shubha Raghavendra will recite (Vachana) and Vidu. Dr. Rama V. Bennur will interpret (Vyakhyana).

Vidu. Shubha Raghavendra is a Kannada folk singer known for her high-energy performances. She is also a contemporary artiste who engages with the traditional art of Gamaka and performs in various concerts and events. Vidu. Dr. Rama V. Bennur hails from the family of versatile and celebrated Veena exponent Vainika Shikamani Veene Seshanna.  Her father Swaramurthy V.S. Rao is the grandson of Veene Seshanna. She has been awarded Doctorate from Hampi Kannada University for her work ‘Kannada Kavyadalli Sangeeta Vadyagalu.’ An expert reviewer of Bharatanatyam and Karnatak music, she is a good orator and also a columnist.
