Mysore Fashion Week back to sweep city !

Mysuru: After three phenomenal seasons, Mysore Fashion Week is back with its 4th season. The yearly fashion event begins from Sept. 15-17 at Hotel Radisson Blu.

The event has garnered immense support from the fashion industry and it has now put Mysuru on the global fashion map. Mysuru-based designer Jayanthi Ballal has perfectly orchestrated fashion week. The annual event has witnessed the participation of top designers and models over the past three seasons.

This year, the three-day event features the works of some innovative designers including Vijaylakshmi Silks, Trinetra by Raja Pandit, Jayanthi Ballal, Dreamzone Students Program, Ramesh Dembla, Reshma Kunhi, Rebecca Dewan, Roshan & Dinendra, Jaheena, Ashok Maanay, Hamstech Institute of Fashion and Interior Design-Hyderabad, Kanchan Sabharwal, Shravan Kumar, Crocs Exclusive Showcase, Asif Merchant and Grand Finale by Archana Kochar.

Some of the celebrity showstoppers include actress Kriti Kharbanda, Harshvardhan Rane, Krishika Lulla, Terence Lewis, Chitrangada Singh, Adah Sharma, Rashmika Mandanna, Pranitha Subhash and Shruthi Hariharan.

The star attraction during this year’s Mysore Fashion Week will be Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain Harmanpreet Kaur who is known for her hard hitting knocks. She will be walking for one of the designers.

This year, the Mysore Fashion Week is supporting the cause of acid attack victims. Therefore, a 19-year-old Reshma Qureshi, an acid attack survivor, will be walking for Bengaluru-based designer Jaheena on the opening day of the three-day event.

Reshma Qureshi is a bold girl who survived the acid attack by her own brother-in-law a couple of years back. She is now the face of ‘Make Love Not Scars.’ She is also the face of many anti-acid-sale campaigns and has walked the ramp for many designers at both national and international platforms.

This year special stall will be setup where designer wear from top designers will be on display. It is going to be a couture parade where different designers including one of the oldest saree brands of Karnataka are going to showcase their collections.
