Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Lokayukta sleuths have trapped a Surveyor while he was accepting bribe to prepare a 11 A sketch for alienation of a land at a bar and restaurant in Hunsur yesterday.

The Surveyor, who was trapped, is K.R. Ravindra, serving at the Office of the Assistant Director of Land Records in Periyapatna.

It is learnt that one Raghavendra of Sanduvalu village in Periyapatna had approached Surveyor Ravindra for 11 A sketch pertaining to alienation of his land for which Ravindra had demanded Rs. 90,000 bribe. Raghavendra had lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta Police in this regard, who then laid a trap to catch Ravindra red-handed.

Yesterday, when Surveyor Ravindra was accepting Rs. 30,000 bribe from Raghavendra at a bar in Hunsur, the Lokayukta sleuths caught him red-handed and have registered a case.
