Sir,
I am a regular reader of Star of Mysore and sincerely appreciate the way your paper highlights both the positive developments and the pressing civic issues of our beloved Mysuru. This column, in particular, provides citizens like me a meaningful platform to express our thoughts and concerns for the betterment of our city.
I wish to express my deep concern regarding the lack of proper streetlights and the increasing incidents of petty crimes along the Bogadi to Beerihundi stretch.
This road is used daily by commuters, students and travellers, yet the poor lighting conditions make it unsafe at night. There have been repeated complaints of thefts and accidents, especially affecting those returning from work or travelling late in the evening. I urge the Bogadi Town Panchayat, our MLA and our MP to take immediate steps to improve streetlighting and ensure adequate Police patrolling in this area.
Strengthening safety and maintaining basic infrastructure will not only protect citizens but also uphold Mysuru’s image as a peaceful and well-managed city.
Once again, I thank Star of Mysore for being a strong voice for Mysureans and for consistently bringing attention to both the good and the bad, inspiring civic improvement and greater public awareness.
