‘Viveka Kutumbakam’ celebrated

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Viveka Kutumbakam,’ the 12th Annual Day celebration of Sri Viveka Vidyalaya PU College was held at the college premises recently. 

Swami Parahitananda Maharaja, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Sharadaashrama, Ponnampet, South Kodagu, graced the occasion.

Dr. B.R. Guruprasad, Director, Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru; K.C. Puttasiddashetty, Chairman; M.S. Nagesh, Director; Sunil Kumar, Secretary; Bhavani Nagesh, Administrative Officer and K.N. Shilpa, Principal of the institute, were present.

The Swamiji, who released the college calendar, advised the students to follow 5 principles of Swami Vivekananda — self- control, self-confidence, concentration, self-realisation and being a philanthropist.

Dr. Guruprasad lauded the institution for training the students both in academic and co-curricular activities.

The event culminated with a cultural extravaganza themed ‘Navarasa.’  All the staff members, students, parents and alumini witnessed the programme.
