H.D. Kote: The H.D. Kote Police have arrested a man accused of murdering his friend with a wooden stick in a drunken brawl.
The accused, Taveed Pasha, allegedly killed his friend Kalam in the Muslim Block area of the town. Both were close companions, but on Tuesday, an argument broke out between them while under the influence of alcohol. The quarrel escalated and Taveed struck Kalam with a wooden stick.
Following the incident, Taveed fled the scene. Passersby, who found Kalam lying in a pool of blood, rushed him to the H.D. Kote Government Hospital, where he was given first aid. He was later shifted to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru for advanced treatment, where he died.
Acting under the guidance of Mysuru SP N. Vishnuvardhana, local Police traced Taveed’s movements around Hunsur. He was eventually apprehended at the Hunsur Bus Stand within 48 hours of the crime.
Inspector Gangadhar confirmed that, after conducting a spot inspection, the accused was produced before the Court and remanded to Judicial Custody.
The arrest operation involved officers Syed Kabir, Yogesh, Mohan, and Beerappa.
