Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Ivory City Margadarshak Award was conferred on Madhuri Thathachari, Managing Trustee, Bhramara Trust, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to various community services.
Immediate Past District Governor Rtn. Vikram Dutta presented the award at Rotary Ivory City Mysuru’s Charter Nite and Decennial celebrations recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Dutta said that over the past many years, Madhuri Thathachari, a multi-faceted personality, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the cause of education and volunteered to develop and conduct programmes for re-educating old people in Convalescent Homes. She has patronised several institutions and devoted to service of the downtrodden.
Her charity work has not only addressed critical social needs but also inspired a new generation of volunteers to engage in community outreach, he added.
President of Rotary Ivory City Rtn. Keshav Kanchan said the Club deems it an honour to confer “Rotary Ivory City Mysuru Margadarshak Award” on Madhuri Thathachari, a distinguished educationist, scientist, researcher and social worker.
Past District Governor Rtn. H.R. Keshav, Rotarians Sunil Baliga, Dr. Sachidanandan, Dr. G.L. Shekar and Harish were present on the occasion. M.K. Mukesh, Hon. Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
