Check rampant traffic signal skipping

January 2, 2026

Sir,

I welcome the installation of traffic signals at various junctions across Mysuru city by the authorities concerned.

Though the signals have been installed and are functioning properly, many vehicle owners — especially two-wheeler riders — are not following traffic rules at these junctions and are creating confusion among the public by skipping signals.

I request the traffic authorities to look into this rampant signal jumping and regulate traffic at signalised junctions to avoid inconvenience, particularly to fellow motorists and pedestrians.
