Selected for Bayalata Academy Award

Artiste Shivabuddhi of Hallare village in Nanjangud taluk has been selected for Karnataka Bayalata Academy annual award for the year 2025. In a press release, Bayalata Academy Chairman Dr. K.R. Durgadas said that Hallare Shivabuddhi is engaged in string puppetry art for the  past four decades.

The Academy, taking note of his contribution to the field of arts, has selected him for the 2025 award, which will be conferred on him at a programme to take place at Dharwad in the first week of February. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a citation.
