Mysuru: Seven athletes of Sai Taekwondo Academy, Mysuru, who took part in the 8th International Taekwondo Championship in Dehradun recently, have won a total of 11 medals.

In the Poomsae competition, Advika E. Arun, M.S. Kaushika and Dishita won bronze medals in the U-11 girls category while M. Tarun Chandra clinched the gold medal in U-14 boys category.

Kyurugi competition saw even more success, with Dishita and Kaushika winning gold medals in the U-11 category and Advika Arun securing a silver medal. Tarun Chandra added a bronze medal in U-14 category. In U-17, Divyanshi, Sameeksha and Ihit won gold medals.

The championship was organised by Taekwondo Federation of India. The champions were trained under Grand Master D.V.S. Sai Prathap Babu.
