Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Unnati – Avala Pragatiya Payana,’ a one-day workshop for identifying the right enterprise for women aspiring to become self-made entrepreneurs, was organised on Jan. 17 at Rotary Brindavan School under the District Project for Women Empowerment. It was conducted as a joint project by Rotary Club of Belthangadi and Rotary Club of Brindavan with support of all Clubs of Mysore.
More than 150 students pursuing Mba from Parivartana College for Business, GSSS Women’s College, Vidyavardhaka
College, Vidya Vikas College and many members of Dharmasthala SHG and Ujire SHG took part in the workshop.
RudsetI Director Saritha was a resource person in the morning session while noted entrepreneur Swarooprani handled the afternoon session.
Sudhamani and Satyawati Sham, entrepreneurs with great experience and knowledge in the field, guided the participants.
Financial guidance was imparted by officers of SBI.
The event was inaugurated by Rotary District Governor Rtn. P.K. Ramakrishna. Valedictory was attended by District Governor-Nominee Rtn. Yashaswi Somshekar, PDG Rtn. A.R. Ravindra Bhat as guests of honour. Both advised the participants as to why and how important it is to be a self-reliant woman specially financially as an entrepreneur. Rotary Brindavan President Rtn. Manjunath presided. Chairman PP Rtn. Manorama Bhat of Belthangadi, Vice-Chairman PP Rtn. Sreenidhi Murthy and Co-Vice-Chairman PP Arunadevi oversaw the smooth conduct of the event.
