Mysore/Mysuru: The city’s 7th Additional District and Sessions Court has sentenced a drug peddler to four years jail term besides imposing a fine of Rs. 40,000 after he was found guilty of selling narcotic substance.
The convict is Mohammed Akbar, a resident of Shanthinagar in city.
Udayagiri Police, who had registered a case against him on charges of selling drugs, conducted investigations and had submitted a charge sheet against Akbar to the Court.
The Judge, who heard the arguments from both sides found the accused guilty of the charges and sentenced him to jail besides imposing the penalty.
