4.115-tonne iron stolen

Mysore/Mysuru: Thieves have made away with iron kept for construction at Mysuru Heritage Centre and Tourism Institute at Chikkahalli village coming under Alanahalli Police limits in city, according to the complaint lodged by the Institute’s Project Director Dr. Madhukar Appaji on Jan. 23.

According to the complaint, a total of 4.115-tonne iron rods and other iron items, iron windows and three almirahs worth about Rs. 1.80 lakh have been stolen.

Based on the complaint, Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
