Mysore/Mysuru: Akkare Hospital, city’s first super speciality hospital for children and dedicated to comprehensive care for children and women on Kalidasa Road in V.V. Mohalla, was inaugurated recently.
The hospital is equipped with modern infrastructure, child-friendly environment, advanced diagnostics and safety-driven clinical protocols aimed at delivering high-quality and ethical medical care with a vision to provide advanced paediatric care, neonatal services, paediatric surgery, intensive care, and dedicated women’s healthcare under one integrated roof.
The inauguration ceremony was led by the Hospital’s founding medical team comprising Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensivist Dr. H.N. Yashwanth Raju, Paediatric Surgeon Dr. S.R. Avinash, Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. M.S. Deepak and Paediatrician and Neonatologist Dr. C.K. Chandan.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yashwanth said, “Our goal is to bring tertiary-level paediatric and intensive care services closer to families in Mysuru, ensuring timely treatment and compassionate care for every child.”
Dr. Deepak said, a dedicated women’s healthcare is an essential pillar of community well-being. “We aim to deliver high-quality gynaecological and minimally invasive surgical care with patient safety and comfort at the forefront,” he added.
Dr. Chandan pointed out that strong neonatal care ensures a healthy beginning for newborns. “Our focus is early intervention, advanced monitoring and continuous parental support,” he said.
The inaugural event witnessed the presence of well-wishers, medical professionals and community members who welcomed the launch of this much-needed super speciality paediatric facility in the city.
