Mysore/Mysuru: Anjali B. Gupta, a woman from the city, was crowned as the winner of Maven Ms. Plus Size India Season 8 (2025-26), at a grand finale held at Chandigarh tricity region recently.

Addressing media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city recently, Dr. Anjali said, it is a first of its kind achievement for a Mysurean from South India, as until last year, contestants from North India were winning the title. The event featured 50 finalists, which later came down to 15 through eliminations, culminating in a rigorous Q&A session.

She said, everybody has some or other complaints related to their bodily growth, following which, she has been actively visiting the schools and colleges and participating in the events organised by various Associations and organisations, to deliver a motivational speech and instil a confidence, with a hope of transforming their mindset.

Anjali is an athlete and coach and has excelled in Mixed Martial Arts, Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A second-generation entrepreneur and daughter of Founder Dr. Alok Gupta, she is also the owner and MD of Mysore Wifiltronics Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 13485 and MDSAP certified medical devices manufacturing company in city. She also serves as Director at sister company Glowtronics Pvt. Ltd.
