Mysore/Mysuru: SDM Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru, has organised its 1st International Case Conference on Feb. 20 and 21 at the SDM-IMD campus, Mysuru, around the theme ‘Contemporary Contexts in Innovation, Inclusion and Impact.’

The Conference is being organised under the leadership of the Institute Director (Lt. Col.) Dr. S.N. Prasad and will bring together academicians, researchers, industry professionals, case writers and doctoral scholars to deliberate on contemporary challenges in writing, publishing and teaching management cases for academic and managerial impact.

The Conference will feature eminent speakers including Dr. Sankarshan Basu, Professor, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore; Dr. Shreya Mishra, Editor, South Asian Journal of Business and Management Cases and Faculty, Birla Institute of Management Technology; and Dr. Veena K. Pailwar, best-selling case author and Faculty, Institute of Management Technology Nagpur.

Dr. S.N. Prasad will deliver inaugural address. S.N. Shamanth, Director, Rakuten India Enterprise Pvt. Ltd. and Co-Chairman, Intl. Business Expert Committee, BCIC, will deliver keynote address.

A panel discussion on ‘The Case Ecosystem: Writing, Publishing and Teaching for Impact’ will be conducted by Dr. Veena K. Pailwar, Dr. Shreya Mishra, and Dr. S.N. Prasad, offering editorial, pedagogical and practitioner perspectives on the evolving case landscape.

An integrated case writing workshop will also be conduct, focusing on the craft of case writing, development of teaching notes, qualitative case research and publication pathways.

The Conference aims to foster meaningful scholarly dialogue, mentor emerging case writers and promote high-quality, practice-oriented case research.
