Kumar (64), retired KSRTC Conductor and a resident of Rathnapuri village in the taluk, passed away on Saturday at  the village.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter, brother Dalit Activist Harihara Anandaswamy and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held yesterday at the village, according to family sources.
