Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, has organised two classical music concerts in memory of eminent flautist and guru A.V. Prakash as follows:
Mar. 14: Grand vocal duet by Vidushis Sindhu Suchethan and H.M. Smitha, accompanied by Vid. H.N. Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Arjunkumar on mridanga and Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on ghata at 6 pm at Bidaram Krishnappa’s Prasanna Seetharama Mandira, Mysuru.
Mar. 17: Flute recital by M.K. Navaneeth, accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata, at 6 pm at Sri Vidyabharathi Prarthana Mandira, Sri Chandramoulishwara Temple, V.V. Mohalla, Mysuru.

Artistes’ Profile
Vidushis Sindhu and Smitha are among a few musician siblings, popular as violinists as well as vocalists. They have been trained in vocal music by Vidu. H.N. Rajalakshmi and later by Vidu. Dr. Pushpa Srinivasan and Vid. T.K. Srinivasan.
Trained in violin under the tutelage of Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy and further under Vid. H.N. Bhaskar, the siblings have performed in most of the major platforms of the country.
‘A’ graded artistes of AIR and DD, the sisters excelled by the wide experience of accompanying the present day’s most eminent artistes.
Vidwans H.N. Bhaskar, Arjunkumar and G.S. Ramanujan are leading artistes in their respective fields.
M.K. Navaneeth is the grandson of flute maestro A.V. Prakash and son of Vid. A.P. Krishnaprasad and is being trained by his father since a very young age.
