Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Ganayogi Kala Trust, Mysuru, has organised Sri Ganayogi Pt. Panchakshari Gawai’s 135th and Padma Bhushan Dr. Pt. Puttaraja Kavi Gawai’s 112th Jayantyotsava, Award Presentation and Music Festival at Navajyothi Auditorium, JSS College for Women, Saraswathipuram, tomorrow (Mar. 15) at 10 am.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Gadag’s Sri Veereshwara Punyashrama Seer Sri Kallaiah Swamiji will confer ‘Ganayogi’ award on Hindustani Singer Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar.

On the occasion, music critic Dr. Rama V. Bennur’s books ‘Nadayogiya Payana’ and ‘Guru Nadeda Haadiyalli’ will be released by Dr. Sharathchandra Swamiji of Sri Kundur Mutt and Sri Srikantaswamiji of Aramane Sri Panchagavi Mutt. Pt. M. Kallinath Shastry and Nandeeshwara Mathaji will be the chief guests.  Trust Patron and ex- MLC Thontadarya and Trust President H.N. Lokeshappa will be guests of honour. Pt. Venkatesh Kumar will present a concert with Vid. Keshav Joshi on tabla and Vid. B. Satish Bhat  on harmonium.
