Renowned artists to take part in ‘Meet the Artists’ event in Mysuru

Mysore/Mysuru: In a significant boost to the city’s cultural landscape, The Art Park – Meet the Artists event will be held in Mysuru for the first time on Mar. 22 at the Heritage House between 11 am and 5 pm.

The day-long programme will bring together artists offering art-lovers a rare opportunity to witness creativity in action.

The event is being organised in association with Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology and aims to showcase talent through live art demonstrations and exhibitions.

A. Devaraju, Dean of CAVA, will be the chief guest at the event being spearheaded by Bhagya Ajaikumar, President of The Art Park, who is also the Founder – Director of Swasti Contemporary Art Gallery, Bengaluru and widely recognised as a promoter of national and international artists.

As a guest faculty at the Department of Visual Arts, Bangalore University, member of Terrain Exhibitions Chicago and invited artists from India to participate in Terrain Biennials, she has consistently worked towards fostering artistic exchange and collaboration.

Speaking about the initiative, Bhagya Ajaikumar said that Art Park Bengaluru regularly hosts events on the second Sunday of every month at prominent venues, bringing together nearly 25 artists and creating a vibrant interface between artists and the public since 2014.

“This is the first time we are conducting the event in Mysuru, a city known for its rich heritage. Renowned and award-winning artists are expected to participate. It will also provide budding artists an opportunity to interact with established names and gain valuable exposure,” she said.

In addition to her contributions to the art world, Bhagya Ajaikumar, along with her husband Dr. B.S. Ajaikumar, Chairman of HCG Hospitals and Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology, serves as Director of Bharath Hospital & Institute of Oncology and the International Human Development Upliftment Academy (IHDUA), Mysuru.
