Brigade Group Executive Chairman & BIMS alumnus M.R. Jaishankar to take part

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Studies in Business Administration, B.N. Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences (BIMS), University of Mysore, will host the BIMS Golden Jubilee valedictory function tomorrow (Mar. 28), from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm at the Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri.

The celebrations will reflect on a journey that began in 1974 under the visionary leadership of the University of Mysore and Prof. J.K. Irani.

As one of the earliest departments to introduce formal management education in the region, the Institute has grown exponentially over five decades and today, its alumni hold prestigious leadership positions in the corporate and business sectors across India and internationally.

University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath will address the gathering. Executive Chairman of Brigade Group and an alumnus of BIMS M.R. Jaishankar, Varsity Registrar M.K. Savitha, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. N. Nagaraja and others will be present.

The Department will formally launch its Alumni Association to bridge the Department’s glorious past with its promising future, fostering mentorship and professional networking.

Professor D. Anand, who is retiring after serving for nearly four decades at BIMS, will be given a farewell on the occasion.
