Mysore/Mysuru: K.M. Munigopal Raju, Managing Director (MD) of the city headquartered Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited, who retired upon superannuation on Mar. 31, was given a warm farewell at a function organised at CESC Head Office in Vijayanagar Second Stage here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Srirangapatna MLA and CESC Chairman Rameshbabu Bandisiddegowda said that Munigopal Raju had a solid personality and took everybody into confidence while taking major decisions. He always guided the staff as a responsible official, he added.

Other speakers at the function also lauded the leadership qualities and friendly approach of Munigopal Raju who led CESC from the front as its MD for over a year.

Speaking after being felicitated, Munigopal Raju said he got the co-operation of everyone in his functioning as CESC MD.

Noting that CESC Chairman always supported him at all levels, he thanked everyone for their continuous support.

CESC Technical Director D.J. Diwakar, officials L. Lokesh, G. Renuka, Sharanamma Jangin, Lingarajamma, B.R. Roopa, Sunil Kumar, Somashekar and others were present.
