Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti, a grand seva initiative was successfully conducted by Sri Sthanakwasi Jain Yuva Sangh across the city recently.
Prasada distribution was organised at 10 centres across the city, reaching thousands of people. A total of 15,000 food plates were distributed, which was sponsored by the Darla family. Fruits were also distributed in memory of Mangalchand Bantia by the Bantia family.
A special contribution was made by the Vidyaranyapuram Yuva Sangathan, whose dedicated team efficiently managed 2 centres ensuring smooth and disciplined distribution.
Continuing the commitment from last year, the “Jal Seva” project was also undertaken. Under this initiative, water was supplied to about 36 dispensary centres across the city and over 12,000 water cans (20 litres each) were distributed. In all, a total of 2,40,000 litres of drinking water was provided as a civic service for the general public.
The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Jal Seva Project Director Kirthi Chowdary, Mahaveer Jayanti Project Directors Suresh Salecha, Vikram Kawad and Kirthi Chowdary, SS Jain Sangh President Subhash Darla, Secretary Budgmal Baghmar, Sri Sthanakwasi Jain Yuva Sangh President Navarathan M. Darla, Vice-President Kiran Salecha, Secretary Rajendra Desarla, Joint Secretary Rishab Sankala and Treasurer Ashish Patwa.
