Yoga instructor assaulted over car parking

Mysore/Mysuru: A yoga instructor was allegedly abused and assaulted for parking his car in front of Yoga Bhavan on Ramanuja Road on Apr. 8. A case has been registered at Krishnaraja (KR) Police Station.

The yoga instructor, who was assaulted, is 55-year-old G. Ravishankar, a resident of K.R. Mohalla.

In his complaint, Ravishankar has stated that on Apr. 8 evening, he parked his car in front of Yoga Bhavan to go inside, when residents Madappa and his children Karthik and Deepu, along with their friend, abused Ravishankar using foul language besides asking him not to park the car there.

They then allegedly assaulted Ravishankar and threatened him with life. Later, Ravishankar’s friends took him to a hospital and got him treated.

Based on the complaint, KR Police have registered a case on Apr. 9.
