‘Gita Samhita-2026’ Inter-Collegiate Fest held

Sapient College secures Overall Championship; Rajesh Krishnan presents soulful renditions

Mysore/Mysuru: Simha Subbamahalakshmi First Grade College, under the aegis of GSSS, hosted an Inter-Collegiate Fest ‘Gita Samhita-2026’ recently, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges in and around Mysuru.

The two-day Fest featured a wide range of cultural, literary and sports events, showcasing the talent, creativity and competitive spirit of participants. Events like throwball, mini cricket, treasure hunt, group dance, ramp walk, management and techno-based contests witnessed vibrant participation and were judged by eminent experts from respective fields.

Overall Championship was secured by Sapient College, Mysuru, for their outstanding performance across multiple events — Quick Shot:  Winners – K. Kishan (1st B.Com),  Nikhil Naik (1st B.Com); FINANCE: Winner – M.S. Abhishek (1st B.Com);  MARKETING: Winners –  Anarghya Raj (1st B.Com),  Sarvesh (1st B.Com); Debate: Winner – Anarghya Raj (1st B.Com);  BEST MANAGER:  Winner –  S. Simran (2nd BBA); HR: Winners –  Nisha Jain (final year BBA), Namratha Jain (final year BBA);  Mystery Mite:  Winners – Yash (final BCA) and Jainam K. Jain (final BCA).

The fest culminated with an electrifying Musical Night. The evening featured a mesmerising live performance by renowned Kannada playback singer Rajesh Krishnan and his team. Their soulful renditions and energetic stage presence created an unforgettable experience for the audience, who responded with overwhelming enthusiasm.
