Msyore/Mysuru: JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), Mysuru, has been recognised in the Platinum Band for Sustainability Excellence-2026 under the Sustainable Institutions of India Green Rankings.

This prestigious distinction places JSS STU among India’s leading institutions acknowledged for measurable environmental impact and sustainability leadership.

Performance highlights include significant strides in energy efficiency through solar installations and smart grid adoption, waste management with over 70 percent segregation efficiency, integration of sustainability modules across academic programmes aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and active community engagement through student-led green initiatives.

Prof. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, JSS STU and Prof. S.A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, emphasised that this recognition is not an endpoint, but a responsibility to drive leadership, spark inspiration and cultivate enduring transformation.

The University’s Sustainability Cell, led by Dr. Savitha Ulavi, Associate Professor and Lead Coordinator, along with her team, submitted the application that resulted in this prestigious recognition.
