Yi YUVA Executive Council formed at VVCE

Mysuru:- In a major step towards empowering youth leadership and strengthening student-driven social impact initiatives, the Young Indians (Yi) Mysuru Chapter, an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), recently inducted the Yi YUVA Executive Council at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in city.

The initiative marks a significant milestone in expanding Yi Mysuru’s footprint within educational institutions and creating structured leadership opportunities for students beyond academics.

The induction ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE; Dr. H.T. Basavaraju, Head & Associate Professor; Sufiya, Nodal Officer; Priyanka Sridhar, Chair, Yi Mysuru; B.G. Amruth, Co-Chair, Yi YUVA; Charan and Sukrutha, Yi Executive Committee Members;                     faculty members and students.

During the session, the newly inducted Yi YUVA Vertical Youth Council Members were introduced to the various Yi verticals including Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Climate Change, Health, Sports, Accessibility, Branding and Road Safety, and were formally assigned as the respective Chairs and Co-Chairs of these verticals to take forward initiatives and create meaningful impact for the city and the community.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasised the growing importance of youth participation in leadership, innovation, civic responsibility and nation-building. Students were encouraged to actively engage in initiatives that contribute towards personal growth, professional development and                    societal transformation.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Sridhar, Chair, Yi Mysuru, highlighted that creating Executive Councils within colleges instils a greater sense of responsibility, ownership and leadership among youth. She noted that Yi YUVA serves as a platform that enables students to move beyond classrooms and become socially conscious individuals capable of driving real impact through structured initiatives and collaborative action.

The newly inducted Council Members expressed enthusiasm towards building a vibrant Yi YUVA chapter within the institution and committed themselves towards taking forward impactful projects aligned with the Yi vision of youth-led change.

The formation of the Yi YUVA EC at VVCE is expected to pave the way for stronger student engagement, grassroots-level impact initiatives and future collaborations between educational institutions and industry-led youth platforms.
