NIMHANS-like hospital Pourakarmika Okkuta stages protest demanding early works

Mysore/Mysuru: Pressing for the early launch of works for the construction of NIMHANS-like hospital at Gudumadanahalli in Varuna hobli of Mysuru, Karnataka Pourakarmikara Sanghatanegala Okkuta District Committee staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office at Siddarthanagar in the city this morning.

The protesters said that 20-acre land belonging to Government, is available at Survey Nos. 8, 60 and 68 at Gudumadanahalli.  The Chief Minister had announced Rs. 100 crore in 2025-26 Budget for NIMHANS-like hospital. The people of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and other districts can avail treatment for their mental and neurology ailments. There has been a considerate delay already in starting the works on the hospital, which should be launched at the earliest, the protesters demanded.

Pourakarmika leaders Raju, Shiva Srinivas, Bank Ranganna & Dinesh Kumar were present.
