Tabla artiste selected for Pt. K.S. Hadapada Award

Mysore/Mysuru: Tabla artiste from Bengaluru Pandit Rajendra Nakod has been selected for the prestigious Pandit K.S. Hadapada Award (2026) given by Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Sharadadevinagar, Mysuru.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a citation. Pandit Rajendra Nakod was selected by a panel comprising the Sangeetha Sabha Hon. President M.V. Ramprasad, Shankar Halagathi, Mallikarjun Chikkamatha, Dr. A.L. Desai, Dr. Gurubasava Mahamane, Girish Shilpi and Jagadish Babu.

He will be conferred the award during Pandit K.S. Hadapada Memorial Music concert to take place at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar on May 30, according to a press release from Sangeetha Sabha President Bhimashankar Bidanur.
