Mysore/Mysuru: Pailwan Chikkaputti, former Director of Mysore Co-operative Bank, has alleged rampant irregularities in the Bank.
Addressing a press meet recently, Chikkaputti said he was a member of the Bank for 35 years and served as its Director and Vice-President from 2005 to 2020. Maintaining that he knows all the goings in the Bank, Chikkaputti said he had raised the issue of irregularities and other violation of rules in the Bank after his exit as Vice-President during the Bank’s AGM, for which he did not get replies.
Charging the Bank authorities of appointing staff unnecessarily and in excess, he said that there was nepotism in the appointment and roster norms were not followed. Stating that he had filed a petition in the Court regarding flouting of recruitment norms, he said he had also filed a case regarding loss of Rs.18 lakh to the Bank by In-charge Secretary and the Board of Directors in 2024.
