Mysore/Mysuru: Kalasuruchi will be presenting a programme titled ‘Arthaartha’ on Economics and Commerce, on third Saturday of every month at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
As part of the programme, tomorrow (May 23) Prof. T.S. Venugopal will deliver a lecture in Kannada on ‘Prof. Karthik Muralidharan’s Views on Story of India’s Economic Development.’
Prof. T.S. Venugopal, a polyglot in every sense of the word, has taught a generation of students in Statistics. He has gone far beyond the narrow confines of one discipline and is deeply interested in a variety of subjects — Economics, Finance, Global issues and Music.
He writes a widely read column ‘Artha’ in Prajavani and also runs an Economics centered portal called ‘Artha,’ where he brings the latest thinking into Kannada.
Along with his wife, Shylaja, Prof. Venugopal has published a series of books on music covering a wide variety of subjects. He is a voracious reader and a thinker who keeps all grounded with his deep scholarship and humanity.
