Mathanda Suresh Chengappa, former President of Kodava Samaja, Madikeri, passed away at a hospital in Mysuru early this morning following a brief illness. He was 74 years.

A resident of Gowli Street in Madikeri town and originally from Bollumad Village in Parane, Kodagu, he leaves behind his wife Jaya Damayanthi (Konganda), sons Nickhil Nanjappa & Nishanth Thimmanna and a host of relatives and friends.

Proprietor of Bangalore Food Products (BFP), Suresh was also the Past Rotary District Governor and Past President of Cosmopolitan Club, Madikeri.

Funeral will be held at Kodava Samaja burial grounds in Madikeri tomorrow (May 31) at 11.30 am.
