Pattacheruvanda Gowru (Iychettira), wife of late Pattacheruvanda P. Chengappa and a resident of #E-226, Brigade Mountain View Apartments, Nanjangud Road, Mysuru, passed away in city at yesterday evening. She was 89.

Originally from Chelavara village in Cheyyandane, Kodagu, she leaves behind her son Lieutenant General P.C. Thimayya, daughters Sannuvanda Asha Muthanna & Kalamada Rekha Cariappa and a host of relatives and friends.

Cremation took place at the foot of Chamundi Hill here this noon.
