Mysuru: South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, had organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Railway Hospital, Mysuru and the Blood Bank of K.R. Hospital, Mysore Medical College & Research Institute as part of its ongoing commitment to social welfare and community service.
The programme was inaugurated by Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru, who also donated blood. Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru, Dr. B.N. Ashok Kumar, Chief Medical Superintendent, Branch Officers and officials from K.R. Hospital and Blood Bank attended.
Speaking on the occasion, Mudit Mittal emphasised the significance of voluntary blood donation in saving precious lives and supporting healthcare services. He appreciated the enthusiastic participation of railway staff and volunteers who came forward for this noble cause.
The camp received an encouraging response, with 42 volunteers donating blood. The initiative helped enhance blood reserves for emergency medical requirements while fostering a spirit of social responsibility among railway personnel.
