Mysuru: Atmashree Kannada Cultural Foundation has organised an awards presentation ceremony at Daksha College auditorium in Hootagalli, Mysuru, on June 28 at 2.30 pm.
Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK), renowned litterateur and recipient of Pampa Award and Dr. P. Jayachandra Raju, Chairman of the Daksha Group of Educational Institutions, will be honoured with “Nadakeerthi Award” while writer and organiser T. Satish Javaregowda will receive the “Kannada Ratna Award,” said Foundation President Dr. Gunavanta Manju.
Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, District President of Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, will inaugurate. Senior writer S. Akbar Pasha will preside. B.R. Hiremath, Deputy Commissioner of Excise Department, Mandya, will be present.
The chief guests include film actress Bhoomika, singer Jayanthi Bhat, PDO K.S. Satish Kumar, National Award-winning retired teacher Gowdaiah, Secretary of Daksha College Sonia Umapathi, Principal M. Abhishek and progressive farmer Puttaswamygowda.
On the occasion, students of Daksha College will present their views on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Various achievers from different fields will also be honoured with awards, including “Nari Shakti Award.”
Following the ceremony, the short film “Anuraga,” directed by Dr. Gunavanta Manju, will be screened. The film highlights the importance of parents in the Indian family system and emphasises the values they impart in life.
