Multilingual patriotic songs competition

Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad has organised a multilingual patriotic songs singing competition on Aug. 22 and 23 at Vijaya Vittala PU College in city. Last date to register is Aug. 18. Competitions provide an opportunity for citizens to listen patriotic songs of different languages. Contestants can sing solo and in group. If the songs are from languages other than Kannada and Hindi, singers must summarise the gist of the song to the audience within 1 minute. Participants in the age group of 10 to 59 years are divided into various categories and even senior citizens in the age group of 60 and above can participate. The competitions will begin from 2 pm on Aug. 22 and from 10.30 am on Aug. 23. For details, contact Mob: 94482-53359, according to a press release.
