Mysuru: Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji will commence the 23rd Chaturmasya Vratadeeksha Celebrations from July 29 at Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram, on Nanjangud Road, in city.

The celebrations will continue till Sept. 26. During this period, many spiritual, cultural and social programmes will be conducted.

On July 29, auspicious Guru Purnima day, the programme commences at 9 am, with Guru Parampara Puja, Chaitanya Archana, Vyasa Puja, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji’s Paduka Puja, Pavamana Homa and Datta Homa, followed by conferring the Award ‘Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Prashasti’ on Sri Gandluri Dattatreya Sharma. At 6 pm, Sri Guru Gita recitation and Pancha Utsava Seva to Lord Dattatreya will be performed.

Daily programmes from July 30 to Sept. 26 will be Srichakra Puja, Special Homas / Yagas and Pujas at 8 am and discourse on ‘Vishnu Purana’ at 6 pm.

During the period of Chaturmasya Vrata, Shata Chandi Yaga, Datta Yaga and Ishti Yaga will be performed. Chaturmasya Vrata concludes on Sept. 26, with Pavamana Homa, Seemollanghana and Vishwaroopa Vijaya Yatra.
