As part of its public lecture series, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Basavaraj Charitable Society, Mysuru, is organising a special lecture programme on Aug. 2 at 11 am at the Seminar Hall, Knowledge Park, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru.  Dr. Vijayalakshmi was the former Director of AIISH. The topic of the lecture is “Traditional Indian Astronomy and the Kerala School.”

Renowned theoretical Physicist and Historian of Science, Prof. M. S. Sriram will present an analysis on the tradition of Indian astronomy, the Kerala tradition, scientific contributions of Kerala School of Astronomy and Mathematics, as well as various dimensions of the history of science [Mob: 74831-36251].
