M. Yogendra selected for World Athletics Championships

Mysuru: City’s Master athlete Madappa Yogendra has been selected to represent India at the 26th World Masters Athletics Championship – 2026 to be held from Aug. 22 to Sept. 3 at Daegu, Republic of Korea.

He will be participating in 2000 mts Steeple Chase running race in the 60+ years category.

Recently, Yogendra won gold medal in 10000 mts and silver in the 5000 mts race at the 24th Karnataka State Masters Athletics Championship-2025, held at Kolar. He also won a silver in the 2000 mts steeple

chase at the recently held 46th National Masters Athletics Championship-2026 at Thriuvanthpuram, Kerala.
