Mysuru: A video of a leopard moving on Nayakara Street atop Chamundi Hill has been captured by a CCTV camera on Sunday midnight causing tension among the residents. The CCTV footage shows the leopard moving from Uttanahalli side and walking fearlessly on Nayakara Street. It is suspected that the leopard may have entered the residential area in search of stray dogs.

Earlier too, a leopard, which was spotted in the residential area atop the hill, had attacked stray dogs and cattle. Residents, who saw the footage of the leopard prowling, informed the Forest Department officials and staff, who reached the spot and conducted an inspection.

As the forest area atop the hill houses leopards, it is difficult to capture the big wild cat and the Forest officials have urged the residents to be cautious.
