A ‘Senior Spouse Introductory Conference’ for senior citizens (aged between 40 and 80 years), under the joint auspices of Dakshin Bhartiya Agarwal Samaj and Ahmedabad-based Anubandh Foundation, will be held at Guru Residency on JLB Road in Mysuru on Aug. 22 from 10 am onwards.
This event aims to provide a new life partner and emotional support to the elderly who are facing loneliness.
Dakshin Bhartiya Agarwal Samaj President Dr. Srikrishna Mittal said that due to changing lifestyles, changes in family structure, divorce, untimely death of spouse and increasing trend of single families, many senior citizens are facing loneliness today. This conference is being held with the aim of giving such people an honourable life.
Interested participants from Agarwal, Jain, Maheshwari, Vaishya, Brahmin and Sanatan communities from all over the country may participate.
Dakshin Bharatiya Agarwal Samaj Secretary Shyam Chaudhary said that the Agarwal Samaj is engaged in various social service activities in about 145 districts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry and Goa. He described this initiative as an important step towards bringing new hope in the lives of seniors.
