Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu visits Mysore Palace, Ch. Hill

Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, Consultative Committee Members and Civil Aviation officials accompany the Union Minister

Mysuru: Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and the members of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Civil Aviation visited the Mysore Palace after taking part in the Consultative Committee meeting at Hotel Grand Mercure yesterday.

Consultative Committee Members and Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu were spellbound after seeing the sculptures, carvings, the majestic durbar hall and the artworks displayed at the Mysore Palace. The team was briefed about the Palace in detail by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Wadiyar, who is also the titular head of the Mysore Royal Family.

Yaduveer Wadiyar not only introduced the delegates to the history of the Mysore Royal Family but also explained the culture, tradition and heritage of Mysuru.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Ram Mohan Naidu termed his visit to the Mysore Palace as an unforgettable experience.

“Mysore Palace showcases the rich heritage and culture of the country. People speak about Mysuru and Dasara celebrations across the country. For a complete experience of Dasara, it is important to know about the grandeur of Dasara celebrations from the perspective of the Mysore Royal Family along with the modern-day celebrations,” he said and added that every Indian must visit Mysuru and get to know about Mysore Palace, its architecture, culture,  history and heritage.

Following their visit to Mysore Palace, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, members of the Consultative Committee and officials visited Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill and sought the blessings of the deity.

Members of Parliament Gopal Jee Thakur (Darbhanga, Bihar), Anup Sanjay Dhotre (Akola, Maharashtra), Kamakhya Prasad Tasa (Kaziranga, Assam), Dr. M. Dhanapal (Rajya Sabha, Tamil Nadu) and Ramrao Sakharam Wadkute (Rajya Sabha, Maharashtra), Ministry of Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha and Airports Authority of India Southern Region Regional Executive Director Muruganandam were present.
