33 trees marked for felling near Kukkarahalli Lake: Objections invited

Mysuru: The Office of Tree Officer and Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Mysuru Sub-Division, has invited objections from the public for the proposal to cut 33 trees for the Road Underbridge (RUB) works, at the Railway Level Crossing  near Kukkarahalli Lake, on Mysuru-Chamarajanagar train route. The last date to submit objection is Sept. 2 (by 6 pm).

The trees marked for felling is as follows: 9 trees belonging to different species on the right side of Kukkarahalli Lake at Railway Level Crossing (LC-1), 11 trees located on the left side between Kautilya Circle and Padma Circle, 10 trees on the right side of Kautilya Circle to Padma Circle and 3 trees at LC-1.

The trees belong to different species namely Gobbara Mara (Gliricidia), Honge (Beech tree), Rain Tree, Bevu, Peltophorum, Baage (Siris), Banyan, Cherry, Tapasi (Indian Elm Tree), Gaalichanda (Red Sandalwood), Spathodea, Sissoo, Mango, Jackfruit & Sacred fig.
