Mysuru: In the wake of the devastating natural calamity and sudden flash floods in Nepal, the Karnataka Government has appealed to the public to immediately provide details of any tourists or citizens from the State who are missing or unreachable.

The State Government is in constant touch with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs to provide necessary assistance to affected families and trace those reported missing.

Citizens who suspect that their relatives, friends or acquaintances are missing in Nepal have been asked to furnish the following details without delay: Full name of the missing person, mobile number, last known location and time of contact and permanent address.

The Government has also provided a special Google Form for submitting the details.

For immediate assistance, the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) has opened a 24×7 helpline. The public can contact 1070 (toll-free) or 080-22253707. Information can also be shared through e-mail at: [email protected]
