Mysuru: Chairperson  of Karnataka State Commission for Women Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary visited the Women’s Police Station at Nehru Circle on Ashoka Road in city yesterday and reviewed its functioning.

Chaudhary inspected the facilities available at the Station, besides the Police services being provided to women, handling of complaints, missing women cases, criminal cases and the open house initiative.

She instructed the Police personnel to ensure that the internal complaints committee conducts meeting once every three months in accordance with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, provide a safe working environment for women staff and respond promptly to their grievances.

DCP Dr. Harsha Priyamvada and other Cops were present.
