Maddur: A 14-year-old student, who was consuming mid-day meals at his school, suffered a heart attack and breathed his last at MIMS Hospital in Mandya yesterday.

The deceased student is Veeramani, who was residing with his grandparents at Somanahalli village and was studying in 9th Standard at SCMM High School at the village in the taluk.

As soon as Veeramani collapsed while having his meal, he was rushed to Maddur General Hospital in the School vehicle, where he was provided first-aid and following doctors’ advice, he was admitted to MIMS Hospital in Mandya, where he breathed his last.

Post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to his family members.                                

Maddur Police have registered a case in this regard.
