Thousands appear for Police Constables recruitment exam

Mysuru: The written exam for recruitment of 1,600 CAR/DAR (City Armed Reserve/ District Armed Reserve) Police Constables was held at 39 centres across the city, this morning.

As many as 16,590 candidates had registered for the exam in the city centres.

The exam was held under tight security with the Police clamping prohibitory orders around 200 mts radius across all the exam centres. Also, barring the examinees and the exam staff, no other unauthorised person were allowed to the centres and all photocopy shops and browsing centres in the vicinity of the exam centres were ordered to shut down during exam hours.
