September 15, 2026

Mysuru: RV University, Mysuru campus, is conducting a two-week Robotics Development Workshop from Sept. 10 to 26, as part of its initiative to promote hands-on learning, innovation and future-ready technical skills among students, in alignment with the objectives of the Skill India Mission.

The workshop, being conducted by Dr. Kendaganna Swamy, Assistant Dean – Academics, has been organised by the School of Engineering and supported by Dr. C.H. Patil, Dean, School of Engineering and Dr. K.S. Shushrutha, Associate Dean, School of Engineering.

Overall guidance and inspiration were provided by Dr. Mahendra, Professor at School of Engineering and Associate Dean, Student Affairs.

The workshop provides students with practical exposure to key areas of robotics, including sensors, motor control, robotics programming, electronic interfacing and real-world problem-solving. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between classroom-based theoretical learning and practical engineering applications.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Dwarika Uniyal, Pro VC, highlighted that experiential learning and skill development are essential for preparing students to meet the evolving requirements of technology and engineering sectors.

Robotics Workshop is part of RV University’s broader efforts to foster innovation, technical competency and industry-relevant skills among students and contribute to the vision of a skilled and technology-driven India, stated Lt. Cdr. A.P. Belliappa (Retd.), Deputy Head of Outreach,  RV University, Mysuru [Mob: 99721-13805].
